▌Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore how Google SketchUp can help children to learn complex body volume of “cutting” and “fill” problem solving methods and types of errors in order to enhance the ability of students to solve complex volume problems. The study consisted of five cohorts of volume units taught by five fifth-graders. The study consisted of observation, interview and study. The results of the study showed that the concept of “volume retention and measurement” was not well understood by the students. They were wrong in “segmentation” and “filling”, missing the volume of other cuts and not being able to judge the bottom of the composite body. In the segmentation and fill- , Students can use the direct observation of the three-dimensional graphics method to judge; through Google SketchUp assisted teaching, can help students think and then develop their own problem-solving strategies, students in the “split” and “fill” error types, mostly clarified, Split “and” fill “problem-solving methods, students change to the bottom of the graphics to determine, with the composite body is broken down into individual volume capacity, thereby enhancing the volume in the complex problem-solving ability.
