Abstract
This study investigates the pedagogical effectiveness of integrating “Generative AI collaboration” and “game-based learning” into an “Introduction to Business” course at a technological and vocational college. The primary objective is to address learning challenges such as “high-tech plagiarism” and “mental offlining” that occur when students confront tasks with high cognitive loads.
Adopting a single-case study design, this research focused on 46 first-year college students under the researcher’s mentorship. The 18-week “Introduction to Business” curriculum was restructured into a progressive game-based scenario titled “Entrepreneurship Reality Show,” complemented by the implementation of a “Generative AI Collaboration and Verification Strategy” (incorporating 5W1H precise prompting and logical calibration). Grounded in Biggs’ 3P learning model, this study employed triangulation by analyzing final business plan rubrics and student interaction trajectories within a Facebook group.
The empirical findings are as follows:
1.The proposed instructional strategies effectively assisted students in overcoming learning thresholds, thereby enhancing their logical structuring and practical planning capabilities in their business plans.
2.Students in the case class successfully utilized the “human-AI collaboration loop,” transforming AI into a “mindtool” that amplified cognitive thinking.
3.The Facebook group served as an implicit scaffold for “teacher-student trust,” providing essential support and fostering high learning persistence when students faced high-difficulty tasks.
This study offers practical insights and references for the integration of emerging technologies into business and management education.
