Abstract
This study aims to design and develop a situated digital game, Eduventure, based on a real campus environment to create an immersive and life-oriented campus simulation experience. Players take on the role of a freshman at National Taichung University of Education and engage in club activities, part-time jobs, daily exploration, and random events within a virtual campus. Unlike traditional campus tours that focus mainly on information delivery, this study adopts a game-based approach to transform campus spaces, stories, and cultural features into interactive experiences, allowing players to naturally understand and appreciate campus life. The objectives are to recreate the rhythm of campus living, promote campus culture, enhance students’ sense of participation and identity, and explore the potential of digital games as an innovative medium for campus promotion.
