Abstract

This study combines digital learning platforms with video conferencing systems for distance teaching in rural elementary school information education courses. After the courses, 16 students who participated in the teaching activities and the co-teaching teachers were interviewed to understand the students’ learning experiences, perceptions of the learning content, and satisfaction with the distance teaching courses. The study also explores whether the teaching objectives were achieved after the teaching activities. The analysis of the research results shows that rural elementary school students have positive learning experiences, affirm the teaching methods and knowledge learned, and express satisfaction with the learning content when using digital learning platforms combined with video conferencing systems for distance teaching. They also believe that this teaching method facilitates teacher-student interaction and effectively achieves teaching objectives.

This study explores the feasibility of distance teaching in rural elementary schools and presents empirical results and future research directions. It provides a more flexible and effective teaching model for education in remote rural schools, serving as a reference for teachers and future research.
