Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the change on off-task behaviors of children with ADHD.The none-baseline design of single subject research was used in the study.One first-grade child with ADHD was selected as the research participant. This participant took part in the teaching activity so-called“Multimedia Word Identification Games” , lasting for ten weeks,twice a week,20 minute a time. Besides,this study used“Interval Record Table of Inattention Behavior” and“Event Sample Record of Attention Behavior”as the tools of collecting data.The data were analyzed by visual analysis. Moreover,direct observation and interview were also included.The results of the study were reported as following:(1)Multimedia Word Identification Games had effectiveness of interfere on off-task behaviors;(2) Subjects’ off-task behaviors were improved in internal stage of Multimedia Word Identification Games.As a result, multimedia word identification games can be used to improve the participants’ off-task behaviors and hence readily receive positive recognition among parents and teachers.
