Abstract
The purpose of this study was to discuss the effects of applying digital storytelling in project-based learning on elementary school students’ learning in water resources conservation. Case study was adopted as the research design. There were 26 fifth-grade students participating in this study. 16 experimental lessons, 40 minutes for each, were implemented. Paired-sample t test was used to analyze the pre-test and post-test scores on water resources tests and questionnaires. Scores of students’ digital storytelling works and interview records were also included to evaluate students’ learning effectiveness. The results were as following:
1.The average score of the post-test was significantly higher than that of the pretest on the water resources test. Therefore, the water resources conservation program can enhance fifth-grade students’ knowledge on water resources conservation.
2.The average score of the post-test was higher than that of the pre-test on the water resources questionnaire. Therefore, the water resources conservation program can improve fifth-grade students’ attitude on water resources conservation.
3.Students showed positive attitude toward the water resources conservation program.
