Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate how “Junyi Academy platform” influences mathematics learning effects and attitude. A pretest-posttest design was used in this study. The participants were 54 9th graders from two classes of a junior high school in Yi-Lan County. By adopting the resources of Junyi Academy platform, the students learned about “circle” for 24 lessons during 5 weeks of learning period. The learning outcomes were examined by mathematical achievement test, mathematics attitude scale, questionnaire and in-depth interviews. The results of this study were as followed: (1) there were significant differences in the learning effects: more positive effects to the higher-score than to lower-score students, and more positive effects to female students than to male students; (2) there was no significant differences on the learning attitude (3) most students had positive feedback on Junyi Academy platform and expected to use the platform while learning mathematics in the future.
