Abstract

With the rise of digital technology, whether it is from culture, art, products to the Internet, etc., information is transmitted and received through many different media. Contemporary cities have rich historical, cultural and life memories, as well as precious environmental features. These are all important cultural assets, and these cultural messages also need to be preserved. This research takes Tainan city as the research object, discusses urban cultural records and observations, collects 21 cases, and uses the case study method to conduct cultural case research and analysis, sorting out three themes. This research takes Tainan city as the research object, discusses the urban cultural records and observations, collects 21 cases, and uses the case study method to conduct cultural case studies, and analyzes nine themes in the three categories of design. Then the research team selected one of the categories and designed it through traditional physical publications on paper. This design describes the cultural memory of the people of Tainan at three important moments in a day. Combined with augmented reality (AR) digital technology, the experiencer can achieve a better understanding of cultural assets. In this way, more people can understand Tainan’s urban culture.
