Abstract

In Taiwan, the implementation of the bilingual teaching strategy known as English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) has gained global recognition. This study specifically targets teachers in the field of nature and science across primary schools, middle schools, and universities in Hualien County. The objective is to develop innovative teaching models for natural sciences with a focus on English instruction. To achieve this, researchers will actively engage in online courses, acquire EMI licenses, and gain an in-depth understanding of the EMI teaching approach. The research primarily targets teachers in the field of natural science across primary schools, middle schools, and universities in Hualien County. The research methodology involves observing the current teaching practices of teachers, guiding them in understanding EMI teaching strategies, and developing innovative Englishbased teaching models for natural sciences.
