Abstract
A teacher never comes out easily, and neither does a computer teacher . A fullfledged professional computer teacher is a product of combination of experiences, reflection, advanced study and continuing growth. A teachers’ professional growth is a hidden, and internalized process, it can’t be totally comprehended through quantitative measures out. This study used qualitative research to investigate a computer teacher’s professional growth process.
This is a narrative study to investigate a full- fledged computer teacher’s professional growth process. His computer teaching career development can be classified as (1) orientation and confusion. (2) enlightenment and action. (3) model learning. (4) busy and frustration. (5) leaving and returning. (6) growth and expansion. (7) carrying and looking forward. Those factors such as confusing, leaving, and carrying are consistent. And continuous self-awareness and selfreflection are the keys to his professional growth.
