Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore elementary school student’s learning feelings and satisfaction of using the game-based learning material for learning rhythm. The music teacher, e-learning expert and thirty fifth-grade students were invited to participate in the study for formative evaluation. The questionnaires and interviews were conducted to collect both qualitative and quantitative data. The findings of the study revealed that the students were satisfied with the game-based learning material, and the challenging levels in the game aroused their motivation for music practice. While, the game-based materials could be improved through adjusting the game action operations and reorganizing the animation speed for learning comprehension.
